AIMAN FOUNDATION

ABOUT US

During the first two decades of its independence (1960-1980), Côte d'Ivoire experienced prodigious economic and social development. We even talked about the Ivorian economic miracle. This improvement was slowed down over the following decade mainly by the fall in prices of agricultural raw materials on international markets.

The severe economic crisis of the decade

1980-1990 undermined the foundations of previous economic growth, leading to a major political crisis at the end of the decade with the implementation of the multi-party political system. The combination of the economic crisis and the political crisis led to the devaluation in 1994 of the CFA franc, a currency common to the countries of the UEMOA zone pegged to the French currency and then to the European currency when it was created.

The political crisis having not been resolved, it led to a military coup in December 1999, to an armed rebellion in September 2002 and to a deadly post-electoral crisis in 2010-2011.

During this long difficult period, the poverty rate increased from 10% in 1985 to 55% in 2010, then to 40% in 2018. Which means that in nominal value, there are as many or even more people called “poor” in 2018 than in 2010.

The high rate of poverty is felt particularly in the areas of education and health with the quality of infrastructure and user services below expectations. This finding is more pronounced in rural areas.

In order to help improve the quality of life of citizens, a number of national and international NGOs provide support through various actions.

The Aiman Foundation for Education and Health (FAES) was created to support the social actions of our company, the consulting and investment company Aiman Investment Group (AIG). His declaration receipt bears the number 427/PA/SG/D1

This Foundation intervenes in 2 areas,
Education and Health.

In the Education sector, it aims:

  • To provide assistance to certain primary and secondary education establishments by supporting the establishment of infrastructure and quality furniture.

  • To encourage academic excellence and healthy competition between students and establishments in its sphere of intervention.

In the field of health, the Foundation sets itself the following objectives:

  • Health center equipment.

  • Assistance to patients in modest circumstances.

The scope of action of the Aiman Foundation for Education and Health will mainly be the regions of Tonkpi and Guémon, particularly the departments of Man and Facobly. This does not exclude one-off interventions in other geographical areas located on Ivorian territory.

      In addition to own financing

provided by the Founders, the Foundation is looking for individual and institutional contributors in order to amplify its action, thus resulting in a significant impact on the daily lives of the targeted targets.

Our motto “make the world a better place by sharing happiness at home and around us”.

We invite you to join us in

this action in order to contribute to the building of a happier Ivory Coast.
